don't go near alternative video websites (Ashley2012)

I am writing this as a warning and also as an information piece from the years 2018 to 2025 I was on vidlii and bitview under the name Ashley2012. it started off really fun in 2018/2020 I was on vidlii on and off and that was fun. I made the don't series some gaming videos and also whatever topics came up for discussion. 

Well the next part of the story is valid to me and an opinion a very strong opinion of mine. In 2020 I found Bitview and I used the EthernetBoy2004 username. This had the same formula as Ashley2012 and again was really fun to use. I made more windows movie maker videos and where I would use that too talk and have talking points. In December 2020 and January 2021 I got involved with a user named BMF.

We trolled certain websites and it was fun and innocent to start off with. we would troll another website named Fulptube and at this time I was 14 in 2018 and 16/17 by 2021. I first started getting feelings that something wasn't right by March/April 2021. BMF and another user Kanga who has disappeared from the community and started a new in 2024 or 25 and good luck to him. by September 2021 I left due to the burnout but of course I kept coming back.

one because of the loyalty I felt for BMF at this time I felt when I left I left him down. he was turning into a radical far right figure in the community and was even indoctrinating me into that very repulsive and abusive mindset. the Vidlii community has very much a nationalist, racist and narrow view of the LGBT community and people of other nationalities. If you started to point out what such users as Hexa or BMF where up too you wouldn't be listened to by the owners and many of the users would turn against you in a very cult figure sort of way.

Bitview also allowed themselves to be walked over especially after Jan sold the website too VistaFan and Sks2002. There where such users with there alts walking around with the http:// source code and ready to exploit and hack it even take users information. this is half the reason why when you go to https://www.bitview.net you actually get an under maintenance message as this is there third data breach in about three years so that works out as one data breach a year with users who have signed up having there information stolen due to the backend not being rewritten or secured enough in the first place. 

Then comes my personal side of the story when it comes to BMF. I made videos helping him with his trolling from December 2020 - January 16th 2026 eventually leaving all that just 2 days later on January 18th 2026. BMF had downloaded those videos and photos to his hard-drive and on which became later his older laptop. he would get me and other users that I know and will not name and shame here to do stuff for him such as raid discord server or give other video websites bad press in the name of blackmail and he would share screenshots of what you said to such users as Hexa and earlier Kanga. users would even play good cop and bad cop but these days I believe they where all the same working for the same cause and extorting users far worse than I was.

on 18th January 2026, I finally left and never looked back. It was hard to start off with but with every month it got easier and easier. I blocked and still block every contact I had apart from 1 from my Vidlii and Bitview era. those people where either pray or predators of all kinds. both to radical in different ways and this is where the alternative video format has its downfall. 

I believe with some users receiving better treatment and then others getting cyber bullied and cyber stalked like I believe I was by BMF as he later took an image poster I made for him and used that on a .yooco website stating it was made during a Bitview database leak the one that finally closed the site. This has most certainly killed Vidlii and Bitview and sadly forced the UK government to bring in the online safety act which affects such sites as Spacehey who I feel have done nothing wrong and actually bring a non algorithm experience to its users which I like and much prefer.

Thank you for reading this if you got this far and also this is my lived experience and thoughts on why you shouldn't use alternative video websites and just stick with youtube whilst sourcing chatting experiences elsewhere like on spacehey and other subsequent websites. be aware and if you find or see anything on those sites make videos talk about it and end the stigma of talking out against these scumbags. they only care about money not anyones well being or entertaining there users who decide to visit either sites mentioned.
