:o
anyways, the past two weeks have been pretty peaceful, really. im finally over this one guy that i couldn't get my mind off for so long. i mean, it wasn't necessarily in a like i still want to date him way but more so i was incredibly upset about the situation but ive finally found peace and i no longer want to look back at the past. i saw this one quote today about how you can't rewrite the past, but you can choose to stop rereading it, and i think that explains exactly what i needed to do. i learned a lot from the experience, at least. but i no longer feel the need to overanalyze and overthink about it.
i went thrifting a couple weeks ago, which i always love to do. i found a cool chunky belt thing that i now cannot stop wearing in like every outfit and this like denim maxi skirt thing. i also got some baggy jeans just because i wanted some. then, this really nice girl at the thrift store gave me this cool shirt and she said it was because it looked like it matched my style and yk what kindness like that is why i continue to have hope for humanity and i also love that she was able to tell my vibe and notice that it fit my style like omg
then, i FINALLY cut my hair. i had been wanting to cut my hair since like, last month, but i never got around to doing it. also, i SERIOUSLY needed to cut it. i have an issue where i let my hair grow out BUT i don't actually trim it so then it ends up looking dead and horrible and also my hair was genuinely falling out before i cut it so...yeah it definitely needed to happen. i love the short hair sm more than the longer hair though honestly...it's so cute and cool. i haven't had my hair that short since 7th grade, and i didn't know how to even style it back then so it looked bad. lowkey, now im exactly who 12 year old me wanted to be. short hair, lowkey super cool, lowkey super awesome, still pursuing my dreams.
speaking of pursuing my dreams (of being a writer, of course), im thinking about writing and submitting something to this random magazine thing that i found out about on instagram...so we'll hope i actually do it. honestly, i might start on it right after i submit this blog.
anyways, then last week, i was at church camp for the whole week and that was super fun! im kinda sad it's over but at the same time i missed my own bed, room, and shower SO MUCH...
lately, ive been trying to worry less in general too. im a generally very anxious person, so it's pretty hard for me, but ive definitely gotten a lot better. im worried about growing older, as im turning 15 years old in exactly two weeks from now (july 5th!) but no matter how much i worry about growing older...eventually ill be 15. i just hope 15 treats me well. the first half of being 14 wasn't terrible but the second half was an absolute trainwreck. sophomore year also sounds slightly intimidating, especially because ill be in my second year of french and in honors english and AP european history...but no matter how much i worry about it, eventually ill be there and be a sophomore, so i might as well enjoy the summer i have. i just gotta take a chill pill...
if anyone's actually reading this, id love to know how your experience being 15/being a sophomore was (or id love to hear from anyone who's taken ap euro how their experience was with the class...)
anyways, here's some photos from the past two weeks.
