Got your heart in a headlock
I don't believe any of it
You say too late to start
With your heart in a headlock
You know you're better than this"

The Premise:
"I spent six months watching you, Sage," he said, his voice still low, still perfectly modulated, even as his knee pressed deeper into her chest. "I know you have a temper. But we are under the ground now. And if you break my things, I will break yours."
Waking up in an unfamiliar flannel shirt on a thin mattress is a nightmare, but the iron cuff around Sage’s ankle makes it reality. Gabriel isn't a screaming monster; he’s average, hyper-organized, and deeply polite. He cleans up the glass she breaks, brings her water, and expects her to say thank you. Sage vows to change the battlefield. If she can't win physically, she will withhold her voice entirely. But in a damp basement where Gabriel has all the patience and her body pays the price, weaponized silence is a terrifyingly sharp double-edged sword.
