Help me with music !!

I’ve been making some songs. I only have a few finished, two that I actually really like, since apparently I’m shit at music writing lol. 

That goes to show, I’m fucking ASS at song writing. I wanna make music like Mitski and LAUFY, one that clutches at your heart and bares your bones for the world to see. But I’m not a songwriter; I’m a storyteller. I can’t sing about my thoughts or feelings if it killed me. 

Does anybody have tips on how to make sad songs? ESPECIALLY lyrics. God the lyrics are a PAIN.
