đĒŊâ It happened one afternoon at work.
I tend to react slower than I should; a simple "hello" takes little more than two seconds to return because my mind is simply elsewhere: in the music, the work, things i must do... And since I know people don't talk to me much, I expect it even less.
I'd guess she's thirty years older than me. She walked by and said hello. You know there's always a certain amount of time that goes into a verbal response? When that time passes, the greeting feels awkward, so I kept quiet, feeling rather embarrassed.
She sits in the front row, and my headphones were low enough that I could hear, "It cracks me up when Sayori..." as she whispered and giggled with another man. They pointed at me.
Thirty years older.īš
