Updates

it has been far too long since i've written or even interacted with this page anymore. thing is, lots of shit has happened over the past few months.

apart from a ton of exams which i'm surprised i made it out of alive, i got into a messy car crash from a drunk driver with a bunch of my guy friends around december and fractured my arm which is still in a cast along with my vertebrae which i have fortunately recovered from, but am still keeping a supportive harness on. this really drew me back and had me left behind on most of my exams which i took orally to pass my classes and my brothers came over to vouch for my bills. i'm well of health now and so are my friends who had minor injuries, thank God, but it took some time for me to be able to recover mentally as all the shock along with the need to catch up on my exams really took a toll on my mental and physical health as i became upsettingly malnourished weighing at around 41kg (90lbs for my americans). i've managed to gain some of the weight back, but i can't really work out properly for now.

ever since i left to go to college i've been doing long distance with my girlfriend, but we "broke up" for a few months since her mother passed away and told me herself that she wasn't doing all that great mentally. i did book a flight for three days so that i could visit her family and made one long drive from tirana to elbasan accompanied by my parents since they knew of our relationship now. i rushed things since i was up to my neck with exams and i'd regularly check up on her/send her money, but beyond that there wasn't much contact going on since she really needed some time to breathe and i respected that.

went to a standup in new york, had the courtesy of being invited to a wedding in sicily this august, went to a few concerts and some beach theatres over the course of may and now i'm stuck in tirana am back with my girlfriend still studying and going to protests for over a few days now because of the shitty situation that's going on in my country and i hope to be here up until july with my kid sister who i missed a lot and my fam people.
