Delicious recipe for delicious yogurt bread

This recipe isn't really mine but I dont remember where it came from.

Its really easy, goes great with soup, but I normally eat it by itself because I love bread

Yields 4-5 breads

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of flour (I only use all-purpose because its the only one I have, but feel free to try and tell me how it tastes with other flours)
  • 1tbsp baking powder
  • 2-3 heaped tablespoons of greek yogurt
  • Salt (I like eating big chunks of salt so I use maras salt or the one used in grills)
  • Seasonings (optional): I prefer using dill, oregano or a bit of pepper
  • A bit of olive oil (optional) for toasting it in the pan

STEPS

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
  2. Add the yogurt to the rest of the ingredients, do not add it all at once. You should calculate how much yogurt you need to use or you might end up with a dough that is too moist.
  3. In a surface sprinkled with flour, knead the dough for ~3 min and let it rest for 8-10 min.
  4. Separate the dough into 4-5 balls and flatten each one with a rolling pin, if they dont seem flat enough, you can use your hands
  5. Put them on a pan on low-medium fire for around 2 min on each side, or until you flip it and see it no longer has a raw appearance or if it has brown spots. I recommend using a little bit of olive oil, it gives it a better colouring, but it didn't really affect the flavor for me.
  6. Take the out bread and enjoy!
