Ceramics!, Video? + several tangents

I just graduated from high school. WOW. I need to figure out what to do now. Problem for a different blog post though. I no longer have access to a free ceramics class... the only thing about HS I'll miss. Depending on the college I go to, I might get access to a studio again. I want to share all of my best projects from this year. Some of these I got to enter into a school art show, and I got a few nice comments.

Mugs:

Black Mug with a symbol of two crossed swords

Several angles of Tusk: Act Mug

Kirbowl (made for #Dani):

Ice Cream and Bowl:

Silver Chariot Mask:

Also, got my free adobe stuff back through college. Is it really free though if I'm paying 30k in tuition a year? Saying free makes me feel better. Because dreaming costs money. I made a little video compiling all my favorite footage of the sea taken throughout California (+ the city scenes from a ferry trip in NYC).

I love the coasts of Cali with all my heart. Nothing I have seen yet can quite compare, especially Monterey and Carmel. The shot of an arapaima is from the California Academy of Science, which has one of the best river fish exhibits ever. The rest of the aquarium footage is from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They recently added a new deep-sea exhibit and brought in GIANT SEA ISOPODS.

congrats on graduating! your crafts are so amazing! i like the first mug so much, i'd definitely want to buy it if i saw it somewhere, but it'd be too expensive for me since it's such a nice craft! and that video is just so enthralling, i used to be so scared of marine life yet i wanted to be a marine biologist lol, that's how beautiful it is.

Thank you so much :)
I was thinking that if I find an open studio I could begin making a few things to sell. I had another mug just like the pink one but it was blue and larger and I'm so mad that I gave it away to someone that I shouldn't have. They broken it not even a week later. Such is life!
The ocean really does have that way about it, you can fear it and the creatures in it but it's still so enthralling. I can't even swim but I love being near it. I also wanted to be a marine biologist, and it's still something I consider, but we'll see. Do you have a favorite ocean critter?

that is such a great idea, i think you should try it out! and i'm really sorry about the blue mug, it deserved much more love :(
the sea used to bring so many moon jellyfishes to the shore in the fall and i used to grab them and yeet them back to the sea, i really loved doing that and i loved how soft they were. i used to give them names and everything. one of them even carressed my face as i saw swimming once, not so pleasent but a memory regardless lol. so i think i've become very close with those guys, although sometimes involuntarily :') how 'bout you, you have any favorites?

your moon jelly story is so cute... jelly friends 💚. My favorite is probably giant sea isopods. I think it's interesting that we know so little about them and I've always been a little obsessed with huge versions of the critters we see normally.
