Cringe old thing

Image is an edited screenshot of the hidddend deltarune ch3 room with the maze and the gumball machine. unused sprites from undertale have been added to the background as well as a deltarune with the reclaimer symbol superimposed on it, and a backroufn from the bungie fanvideo !lettinggo. A gun sprite from the marathon trilogy (90s FPS games) points at Kris. Kris has a textbox saying "Player, I don't remember our're DESSTINY (sic)" with the text DESSTINY being green and in all caps where the other text isx white.

Deltarune June 24.

I made this image a year ago and posted it on my now-deleted reddit account. It's basically a bad joke about the fact that player deltarune wants to take control of the game and force a good ending that overrules the tragedy, hence the digging into the hidden bosses and weird routes of the game. The maze symbology of the game (something that is specifically highlight3ed in ch4 with gerson) can be used to represent the search for a way out.

This is similar to something that happens in Marathon Infinity, where the main character repeatedly goes back in time trying to stop the release of an elder god from the inside of a star. The player eventually stops this, and in the ending cutscene of the game, their... man i dunno... their former ally/kidnapper/worst friend forever/partner in crime/wise guy to their (silent protag) straight man talks about how it was never totally clear what was going on to them, in a monologue addressed to them, the final words of which are "you are desstiny".

The words on gerson in the top right corner are also taken from the internal monologue (it's not totally clear, marathon infinity is a strange game) of the main character of marathon, talking about getting out of the timeloop. Something something Jorge Borges' garden of forking paths (which it was possibly inspired by) something something Homura Akemi (who this whole situation reminds me of).
