is toronto fucked?

Now that it's been a couple of weeks into Toronto summer, it is time for this to be said: the YNs are going to ruin summer in Toronto, and there's nothing that we can do. Almost every festival or celebration, whether it be Victoria Day or Do West Fest, has become overrun with preteen to young adult boys who want to pick fights with their opps or sexually harass women minding their own business. Speaking as a young adult woman, I can't enjoy any of these festivals with my family or my girls because they ALWAYS take a violent turn once the sun goes down. I've decided to pivot to attending paid events and parties because a lot of these boys are unemployed and can't afford a $20 ticket. This may seem a bit insensitive considering how unemployment is high and third spaces are gone, but you can attend these events and not be an ass for everyone around you.
