Gourmet Sunsets

The rich deep orangey-yellow yoke
of the 'free-range' sun
frazzles in the distance,
plummeting swiftly behind
grand silhouetted mountain peaks,
blazing trails in burnished gold
intermingling soft water colours, smudged
in subtle raspberry ripples
and dreamy strawberry delights,
twilight's Sorbet
heavenly drizzled in sporadic
clotted cream dollops
and Souffle` skies
as soft gentle breezes
carry hints, wafting
fruity citrus blossom,
scattering petals in 'Confetti' showers,
dredging earth in an 'icing sugared' floor.
