Why is buying video games so expensive nowadays? Most AAA games are like 70 bucks now, which is honestly absurd. I'm 14, and that's like 1/4 of one of my paychecks. As someone who loves games, I don't even know if it's worth buying new games anymore.
I mostly play indie games anyway, so it's not too bad, but I still blow through my paycheck on games. Every time I tell myself I'm gonna save money, I buy another game.
Right now, I lowkey want to buy LEGO Batman, but I'm probably gonna wait until it goes on sale in a few years. But I might just buy it now, I'm debating it. And I just don't find gaming as fun as I used ot but that's a whole different thing

I'm not really a usually game buyer, but yeah i can agree that lots of games are like $40 or more. Surely sometimes it's because most of them are from big companies and well they need to pay for all the assets and people who worked on it.
I guess that as a teenager your only chance is to save and to wait for discounts that let you buy games for a better accesible price.

Yo, yesterday I was looking for Just Dance games for Nintendo switch n I Saw JD2017 for 100€+ (idk how much is that on dollars sry!) and SAME, as a minor who doesnt get money, wtf?
That's 115USD, which is insane for a game
