My thoughts on Repo! The genetic opera

First hi, Ive never actually made a blog post before but Ive wanted to for the longest time now okay here is my piss-poor review 

Ive never actually sat down & watched an opera before so I’ll try not to complain too much on the opera factors though I will say are we speaking in a sing-song voice or actually singing 😿 my ideas on opera are very basic liek i thing of the magic flute when they’re speaking they are very obviously singing in this? Debatable 

Okay plot

The world building is intriguing but they didn’t go into it enough I think they could have made things a bit more clear as to things like what really is the beauty standard? What’s too much & whats too little & are surgery’s & face jobs (or whatever you really wanna call it) more than a flex of hierarchy? I think they could have spoke more on this than the main plot of the opera which was very simply a man getting married to a woman than the woman calling off said wedding because she’s found another man 

That’s a concept an audience can easily grasp especially since the opera is rated R.. I’m pretty disappointed that the story is what I think a very shallow jealous drama filled situation-ship when they had a much more interesting story on power & day to day life in such an unusual society 

That’s about it 

I think Shilo would love Twilight 

& pavi is my favorite character
