SpaceHey Is Dead, But I'll Try Anyways

(This entire blog is just going to be me bitching and whining)

I don't really think most people understand how hard it is to be a musician, especially when you have no friends that see the art form as you do. It's ridiculously difficult to try to find other like-minded people that are in my area to create with. I live in a red state so most of the people I interact with are fundamentally against my existence and what I love. It's so disheartening to always hear that the choices I make in my music like screaming and distortion and experimenting with unconventional sounds makes it "not real music". I'm so sick of all of my work being delegitimized and locked behind my bedroom door.

"But what about the internet?"

The sheer volume of content that's already on mainstream social media almost feels like I'm screaming into an empty void, waiting for anybody to scream back with the same energy I've put into it; The sides of the internet that are more "underground" or "niche" barely have enough people to even consider being successful. Even if I was just able to participate in something small and local I would be happy.

Complaining over, if there's any other musicians that feel like I do or anybody who just likes to support small artists I kindly ask just give me a shot.
