Crush thing

Do people throw out the confession letters they receive even if it's from someone they're super close friends with? I really hope my crush/bsf threw out mine but a part of me wishes he kept it???? IDK I find the letter super embarassing tbh (I don't even remember what I wrote) so that's why I hope he threw it away.
