I hate small talk

So I really hate small talk, but I'm also extroverted and need to make more online friends (specifically ones with an xbox) the issue is that every friendship starts with small talk. How do I made friends when the starting foundation of friendship is something I hate with all of my being? I want questions like "what's your hottest MLP take" or "do you belive yada yada" not "how's the weather?" "How was your day?" But that'd be considered super weird. I wish small talk didn't exist.
