Okay, so, recently, I've been doubting reality. Like, am I real? Is life in itself real? Does God really exist? And I'm not sure how to talk to my friends or family about this, so why not share it on the internet?
Anyways, I've just felt really out of touch with the people around me because of these questions. The weird thing is, every time I just lie in bed and think about life, and it feels so real. Like, wow, I just experienced that day. But when I'm actually going through the day, It feels very programmed, I guess? Like the same things, every single day.
It's a weird situation to go through, and I just don't know if this is a thing everyone experiences, or if it's a me thing.
Also, because I call myself a Christian, it feels terrible to have these doubts. I really don't want to doubt God at all because it's like everything I've ever believed in is crumbling.
P.S. : This is my first blog post (yayy yayy ^^)!! Imma try my best to blog once in a while. Also I apologize if this is hard to follow, but bear with me, I'll get better as I go. ty for reading!! :)

I really enjoyed this blog entry. I tend to think all over the place, like all the time. One thought I have is, "what if all of this is a dream?"...in reality, I'm still 3 years old and I'm in this very long and detailed dream. It sort of scares me bc everything I have gone through is so much (loss of my parents, almost engaged, MS diagnosis, etc.)...the stress of having to explain "the future" to my family, oh gosh.
I'm a Christian, too. Been one since I was 3...I went to 2 private Christian schools from prek through 12th. So, it's just what I've been taught. Though my mom was an Atheist (she didn't like labels, but that's technically what she was), she always told me to believe in whatever I wanted, especially whenever I was older. She was like idc if you support Satan, become a Scientologist, or even abandon religion...I just want to you be happy. She always told me she wanted to raise me differently than her upbringing (Catholic). So, I was baptized and eventually confirmed in the church, too!
One question I liked bringing up to her was, "what if God (the one us Christians are taught to believe) doesn't exist?". I always said it'd be funny that if/when we died we get to Heaven and all of the gods were there...from every religion. Or turns out we're wrong and Scientology or Mormonism was the answer. We technically won't know until that day comes, I like to think.
In general, I do feel bad at times to have such thoughts and especially being a Christian. But, I can't help what my mind comes up with. In reality, God made me...so he made me have a wandering mind, lol. But, I also am just "lax" like that...I'm not like a hardcore Christian either...I'm just in between if anything, lol.
Anyways, thanks for an intriguing blog entry! Have a great day!

hahah im constantly spacing out thinking if anything around me is even real. i think it's completly normal to think about stuff like this, imo everyone has dissociated and thought about this at least once. i dont think its weird at all to have doubts, im not religious or anything but i just see as it as pure curiosity & even something natural for us to reflect on

I think it's normal to wonder about that; it's a sign that you're alive. And it's okay to question things and have doubts; that leads to discernment. Saint Augustine said that our hearts are restless. :)

OH MY GOD! I'm feeling the same way, and I keep wondering how the world works, do you know? It seems like everyone just lives on autopilot. and I'm Catholic! โก ๐

This is all just the process of questioning life and what it even means, don't worry about it, you'll find your footing eventually.
