Is wincest really canon? (Supernatural)

So.... like ive sort of been wondering for the longest time ever now- maybe about 3-4 years... Is wincest from supernatural really canon? I see all this talk on ao3 about it and sure, i know its ao3, i know the founders of ao3 were wincest shippers yadda yadda yadda.... i dont really care about all that stuff or what you ship- it just isnt my problem.

My real question is: is wincest canon? Now here is my understanding so far of wincest: so...sam and dean... theyre brothers, ive watched like what?  2 episodes so far of supernatural and i don't understand much but i interact with a lot of the fandom on ao3 this including wincest shippers...

But ya! Any wincest shippers out there please tell me when stuff in the show starts to get juicy or like sad n stuff. 

Sorry this is a very out of the ordinary and im not sure how many people on spacehey even watch or have watched supernatural. Im ashamed to say i missed its peak but im excited to have a bucket load of fanfictions to read across decades of authors on ao3 !!
