"Just do what you love!" stop.

Hey guysss!

Today I'd like to talk about π‘π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘’π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘ ! So i'll be a sophomore pretty soon and that means changing schools and entrance exams. How fun, huh! (ΰ²₯﹏ΰ²₯)Β And so I was sitting down with my dad and talking about what I want to do with my life and what I want my specializations to be and so on. I told him that in the long run i'd like my job to be something associated with STEM. He said "Oh, you strike me as more of an artistic person." So i explained to him that art majors and positions aren't paid very well and I'd have to be exceptionally skilled and also very lucky to strike a high paying job there. He responded with "Just do what you love!"Β

Okay, FIRST OF ALL padre your special interest and skill ir computer science. Your "just do what you love" decision is a win-win situation. It's a largely requested position and in addition you actually like doing it. We are NOT the same. And mind yall i have BIG dreams, some would say, dreams that are TOO big. I simply can not run around playing actress because i need that green to buy food and NOT DIE. And if i will have the time i really would like to find a way to be sort of an "part-time" actress but not as a main job. I am however really sad that I have only one life and i don't really get to live it as i please just because i have to pay for stuff that i need to survive. Do yall get that?

That's it for today byeee guysss! (β Β β οΌ›β βˆ€β οΌ›β )/

I think it's great that your dad is supportive of that "do what you want" mindset, we're pretty lucky to live in a world where we can do whatever we want. If you have the determination and grit to do something, it'll definetly get done. I myself want to pursue a STEM degree but it kinda pays terribly so i'm just going to cross my fingers and hope I lock in these next few years. Good luck with transferring schools!!

can i just say, i love your dad's point of view lol. cuz most dads, including mine, would be like " get a job that pays you well" which they want what's good for us ok. but what's good for me is what i love, ya know. everyone figures life out in different ways and i'd love to learn about life through an experience i decided that i'd love, and that way i can only blame myself if things don't go well. by the way, you probably like STEM too, so that's good for you! you're also right for wanting to sustain a good life and approaching this with a realistic point of view. it's just nice to know that your dad would support you if you wanted to be an actress, as long as you love it.

That's also true. I'm sure that our dad's points of views come from their own understanding of life. For example, my dad's childhood was a bit complicated so he wants and is ready to support me in any way even financially. But I'm the type of person who hates relying on others and I want to make my own life the way I want without anyone's help because it's my life not theirs. But in the end I know he means well and i should just be grateful that i get to have such a supportive dad. (´-﹏-`;)

got it right yay =) i thought that your interests were richly varied, and that you were seeking some sort of freedom to draw your own line, completed with an overall air element energy! i think geminis are kind of go-getters, so i hope your gemini placement will help you through this journey no matter what you choose to do =)
