hi everyone i havent been using this site since like 4 years honestly, and its my first entry here, BUT im writing this to get any tips for beginner witches
(i know the protection basics, know the herbs and colors meaning, runes, zodiac and astrology basics, basic spells, everyday magic)
but i still want to get more acknowledge maybe about inviting the spiritual gods and entities during tarot, meditation and overally spells (tips about other things are welcome too)
if anyone can give some tips please write under this entry, id be thankful!!!

if you already know the properties of some herbs and the color and rune meanings then you're pretty much good to go to craft your own spells! they are always better than ones premade by someone else, they always carry more intention when u create them by yourself :]
When it comes to invoking deities/entities you can reach out to most by for example preparing an offering of things associated with them and lighting them a candle.
Then you can say a prayer to the entity, you can write one yourself or use a premade one but I've found that simply talking to them (respectfully ofc) works best.
If you're just interested in a one-time tarot reading you should ask them for it while giving the offering in exchange. If they respond u should be able to feel their presence, maybe the candle you lit them will flicker a lot, or, in the contrary, become completely still all of the sudden (but remember, mundane over magical! while candles can flicker when a deity contacts you there's a ton of other reasons why it may happen, the candle flame isn't a reliable divination tool).
If you think they agreed to do the reading you can ask them to give you a card associated with them just to make sure. Then u simply do the reding as usual while heavily relying on your intuition.
If you already work with an entity it's a lot simpler, I personally just light a candle for my deities or even simply ask if they'll help me with the reading.
All of this is just from my personal experience and stuff that have worked for me personally, I have been pagan and practicing witchcraft for over 2 years now but I'm no witchcraft guru so take this with a grain of salt, there's a lot of different methods of doing these things out there, that's just my personal take on it

If you can't afford books yet, use PDFs. Also, I've seen this stuff with beginner witches panicking because they made a small mistake, like forgetting giving offers to their deities or not praying for a while, THEY DO NOT CARE. As long as you don't disrespect them, they don't care about your mistakes. And do your shadow work, Xoxo.
do you know how can i start doing shadow work?? cause ive heard that people can feel even worse after this and im kinda scared
