I just wanted to share my theories about what might happen in one piece (y'all are gonna have to stick with me through this one)
Okay so, imu finally descended on Elbaf right? And we found out his devil fruit is called akuma no mi which stands out for 2 reasons, 1. It doesn't follow the repeat name trend (i.e magu magu no mi, hito hito no mi, Yuki Yuki no mi) and 2. Its called the devil's fruit. The reason I bring this up is because what if it ain't a fruit at all and I'm is literally the devil and the reason devil fruits exist, cuz he's insanely old and insanely powerful and so far we've seen it show signs of a paramecia (like with the omens) and signs of a zoan (the devil transformation) so what if it ain't a fruit at all but that's how Imu is?

My next theory is involving the end of the series, because the story set Blackbeard up to be the main antagonist but same with akainu so what if at the end of the Elbaf arc (and before you mention oda said Elbaf is the last, no he didn't he said it's the second arc in the last saga) the strawhats get beat by imu and have to end up retreating to get stronger and while they are getting stronger they fight Akainu who, right before he gets beat, Blackbeard sneaks him, stealing his fruit and the strawhats have to try and fight him instead but end up losing; and then in the final arc Blackbeard tried to fight imu to become king of the world but ends up losing horribly as a way to truly show imus strength?

And finally, this is probably the wildest one but please stick with me, what if the devil fruits don't come from a tree, or imu or any of that but what if they come from space (again please stick with me here) because we've seen in enels cover story from chapters 428 to 474 that aliens and space pirates do exist in one piece because enel runs into multiple of them on the moon and finds an ancient city and all of that stuff, so what if the devil fruits come from some alien technology that is able to bring someone's true desires to life?

(This ain't all of them but still)
Thank you for coming to my ted talk
