my opinions/rankings of the crows :>

bro when i tell you i was seething at five different points while reading through kaz's schemes! ugh, like you explain to me these elaborate ahh plans and then you end up like switiching them up so quick. i know nina, wylan, jesper, kuwei, inej and matthias be raging because cmon!! my dumb ass brain cannot comprehend your schemes brekker, lock in and stick to the plan. but i fucking love kaz brekker. and the backstory for the gloves? jaw dropped. first time a book nearly made me cry. he's definitely like #2 overall character for me. i headcanon him as like extremely slender and tall, the plague doctor mask also comes to mind but he better be solemn as shit every moment of time.

im ngl though, at first i did not like inej that much. like yeah okay a girl who's good at moving, i get it and i've seen it before, lithe and graceful fmc. my opinion of her did not change too much but as a brown girl i appreciate any crumb of rep i get. inej was overall 3rd for me. i definitely thought that she was too "kaz kaz kaz" in all her povs, especially the inital ones and it was tiring like girl get a life. but the van eck and inej part really was interesting. the dunyasha plot was boring as fuck for me because idgaf about dunyasha tbh. i liked the romance with kaz 

kuwei is #3 too, because he has a crush on jesper and kisses jesper and i can relate so he's #3.

jesper fahey is so hot. he's #1 character solely because of his charm. but like his backstory was great, his love plot was great, he's so fucking funny i could go on. Just a lanky teen with a loving daddy. the way his gambling addiction was dealt with was also pleasing enough for me. ugh i love every scene and every pov where jesper fahey takes the spotlight. if only you were real jesper. i do think that grisha plot had more oppurtunity however.

wylan shares #1 with jesper as the only character i could slightly relate to. his daddy issues were such an integral and frankly interesting part of the plot. he's just so kind, like with alys ugh. i love you wylan, you're the sweetest soul. and he's smart and jealous and cute and nice and brave. wylan's so brave and ill stand by that till the day i day. He's absolutely just the greatest boy.

matthias to me is #5. idk. i just wasn't attached to matthias. i felt like without nina, he wouldn't really be a part of the main character cast plus i never missed him after the event anyway which is actually the driving force behind me placing him dead last. personally, i don't like matt. the one-bed troupe in his and nina's backstory is also making me place him here because i disliked it. also like he's corny and a military guy like i dont like the military.

nina is 4th. i imagined her as a redhead. she's brunette. i struggled to reverse her image all throughout the books. every time she acted like a grisha is the time i absolutely loved her, especially after her parem doses. every time she and matthias were together, i was yawning not because the chemistry was off but because it was too hormonal for me to read. but i love her, she's so hot. nina and jesper can charm me into submission.

TLDR;

1. Jesper Fahey (hot) and Wylan Van Eck (relatable + sweet)
2. Kaz Brekker (mad + smart)
3. Kuwei Yul Bo(likes Jesper) and Inej (honest)
4. Nina Zenik (imagined her wrong)
5. Matthias Helvar (corny + military guy which i dislike)
