trying this for real this time (blog #1)

hello cool people in my puter!! i wanted to try blogging for real this time, bc all the other times it was just short anecdotes n me fooling around. here i'll talk a bit more longwinded abt myself n my life, both for the entertainment of strangers and also to have things to look back on in a way. since this is a first blog, let's get intros out of the way!

i'm nicky, or nick as i'm more commonly called. (nickname of a nickname of a... NICK... name) i'm 18 years old, though i turn 19 in a month. (july 19th! jesus christ those numbers are getting too serious .) i just graduated high school approximately 3 weeks-ish ago, but i'm dual enrolled in community college. i get my associates this coming fall semester. my mother has taken mercy on my soul so i get the summer semester off to... work. i work as a barista. i'm italian and argentine and i speak english and spanish not very well bc my dad's a bum. i love linguistics and i'm probs majoring in communications when i end up going to Real college. i am decent at american sign language!!!!! and i am learning mandarin chinese for funsies. i can hold a text conversation. (not speaking. tones scare me.) i alsooooo love music!! i sing in my free time and i want to start producing at some point. i really like michael jackson rn like everybody else lmao. i was a big fan as a kid and then it came back full force w that damn movie. this goes into my next thing tho, and that's that i collect vinyl records! i try to get special editions or just cool looking records!

rn my goal is to get original pressings of every mj album. it is a Pain bc some of them are very expensive. tell me Why i checked discogs and invincible is SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS? wut Ever dude. i'm sabotaged before i even really started. probs bc invincible is mj's least successful album. but yeah i Have the original pressing of thriller and dangerous is on its way. that one was also rather expensive everywhere i looked, except for in greece for some reason? like. i am American i checked the american pressings and listings first for that domestic shipping fare and all of them were godawful expensive in godawful condition but this greek pressing (mind you shipping across several oceans) was the cheapest by a LONG SHOT from everywhere i looked and in Very Good condition. it was only fifty freedom dollars. so yeah that is on its way! honestly i think it adds to the novelty it being an original pressing and also from such a faraway country but i just thought that is such a fascinating way for things to pan out. anyways i got extremely off topic! back to it.

other artists i really like are gorillaz and glass animals. i've been fans of them for several years. i also enjoy ween, if you couldn't tell by the song of theirs on my profile! speaking of my profile i realize the things i am saying now r getting redundant and if u want more musics i like then u can check there! my bad i will get Better at this blogging thing. </3 but um as for my profile i coded that! ofc i started w a template but i did modify it rather a lot to my tastes as well as centered all my blinkies (THAT i am rather proud of lol!!) i like coding a lot, it's my favorite thing abt spacehey. <3 i want to get deeper into it and more into the nitty gritty, as i have a couple buddies who r very talented at such. i am heavily considering making a neocities website in the coming weeks now that i have a laptop again. for the longest time mine was broken, and so that's why i wasn't posting on here nearly as much. now i have one again as a graduation present! it's a gaming laptop, a lenovo loq if ur really curious. i wanna code n just. do more cool internet stuff that i can't just do with a phone. i can also touch my long-abandoned steam acc again just in time for the summer sale!! and i can play games such as overwatch (i Know. i have horrendous taste) the way jeff kaplan intended. rn i play all my games on nintendo switch 1 and it is about as fun and quality at running things as u may imagine in ur wildest dreams.

anyways, that's abt all i have to say for now! i don't know how often i will update this thing but i do enjoy typing 2 a brick wall!! if anyone reads this, pls comment to me! i really enjoy reading them even if i am rather shy. but yeah, even if that doesn't happen, i will still be here. :P it's fun n sort of therapeutic. i get why everyone n their mother did this 20 years ago.
