I went to a show today.
To my surprise, my old biology teacher was there. She sang with her group on stage and was sooo cute ! She's the type of person you'd want to give a hug just by looking at her and a really good teacher.
At the end of the show, i went for a little talk with her (cause i kinda missed her too TwT). It was nice and then, she said she was going to retire. Made me sad but i know she deserved it well. She was smiling the whole time so i know she'll do great.
I remember, when i was in her class, we had a day where she wasn't supposed to come teach. We had the news in the morning but weirdly she still showed up. Before class, she stood before us and gave us an apology for the sudden change.
Then she said (and i'll remember that my whole life): "I’m sorry. I wasn’t supposed to come today because my mother died this morning, I couldn’t let you miss your class. You are already stressed about the upcoming exam and I don’t want to pile it on, so I came. And besides, I think it’s better to be here with you than alone at my place. So, I apologize, now let’s begin."
I can't re create the exact feeling she gave us at that moment. We sat there in silence, looking at each other. The voice crack to not cry while she spoke to us and the pause before saying each sentence sat heavy in my chest... I've never seen my class so silent, she's like our favorite teacher and we couldn't say anything so we sat there and did our best to not bother her, participating and focussing on the class the way she wanted us to.
After the class, we made two groups to write her a message and buy her chocolates before the end of the day. I still wish to this day that i gave her a hug.
She's so strong, i'll always admire her. I hope she'll live a great life. I’m glad I had her as my last biology teacher in high school.
(sorry if i made some mistakes writing this)
