Hii! It's been a couple months since I posted by last blog--as well as being on Spacehey, so I'd like to catch up!
I've moved to a new apartment out in the (almost) countryside. I've lived here before, but we had moved to a more urban city for about about 2 years before coming back. It's really nice here; the air seems fresher and without the constant congestion of cars/e-bikes, it generally makes it more quiet and calming. This also means that I'm being reintroduced into the old school I went to (at this point it was 7th grade that I last went there before coming back in my sophomore year of high school). There are only about 3 more weeks of school left in my new-ish old-ish school and I'm running into old friends and people I had once known; its really awkward and I'm honestly realizing how shy I've gotten as I've gotten older. I'm used to being the new kid in school, it doesn't bother me much, but it's definitely a strange new feeling being the old-new kid with all of my old friends being so grown now. I don't want them to feel inclined to be my friend or to make me feel welcome; I just look down for the whole day and avoid talking until I can leave. A couple girls tried to sit and chat with me at lunch which was really nice--I'm looking forward to getting to know them a bit more. i really hate what time has done to my self confidence and overall perception of relationships. That's something I think I may discuss in a later blog, so I'm just gonna leave this here. A couple people I had started chatting with before I was enrolled invited me to their DND club this Wednesday, so maybe that will be a fun thing to do-- I'm not sure if we're going to be perfect friends, but it could be a healthy new experience.
Going back to the fact that I've just moved, we (my family) have been working hard to clean up our abode. I have my own room with the helpful edition of a door (I did not have one before) and I'm enjoying it very much. There are still some things here and there around the house but considering its only been about a month since we MOVED in, its very clean. The land lords are nice enough, but are unreliable; they have no malicious intent, but they are just as poor as us and have no money to help with repairs or issues in the house--or even to pay us back for the landlord work that my mom is doing for them. It's inconvenient, but the rent is manageable for for amazing deal they're giving us on the rent. They also have patches of land (only about a street over) that we may use for our farming hobbies. It really is nice.
Lastly, I've gotten my dream pet pigeons! I really love them. A woman was giving away a duo of pigeons for free: one female fantail and one male homer. A fantail is a fancy type of pigeon with petite features, a big feather bump on their head, and a large (as previously described) fan-like tail. She's black as well, with sparkles of purple reflecting in the right light. A homer pigeon is your typical pigeon, but instead the one I have is a light brown-grey color and he is a sweetie pie. I've named the fan tail Antigone, and the homer Moses. They make a cute duo and I'm trying my best to become friends with them.
typing for so long is making be dizzy, so I'm going to come back and possible publish another blog soon. Love you!
I will link pictures of my pigeons next time too!
Jya~
