I have nobody to talk about this so I'm laying it here in hopes anybody wants to interact
I have an idea for a story, in my head I've already written down all the character arcs their backstory the world they live in and have like 4 seasons that I replay every night in my head.
This story means more to me than breathing, and I want to share it but my biggest fear is putting a lot of effort and work into this which I love and then have nobody caring or even looking at it cause genuinely who cares
I know how to draw, I can make comics (even though everytime I do it feels like torture cause I spend 90% of the time designing the panels and the other 10% actually drawing so it takes me like three days to finish one page), I have also done visual novels, I can do animations and animatics, I could write it too but I suck at that and usually express myself better with visuals and drawings SO
Like the question is what media do I even try, I want people to care but I feel like all the markets are so oversaturated my work will just be another one that gets ignored in the hundreds of thousands of other better works
I've always been very passionate but I'm losing motivation with time, but like I can't just exist without at least trying cause then I don't know what's the point of existing at all if not to create stories and art and little worlds in my head
TLDR: What do y'all prefer, comics, visual novels, or animations

I can't give much advice but if you're struggling with motivation i really suggest that you find someone to admire (as in drawings n stuff), just look through social media and find an artist that makes you so obsessed with their work it's hard to look away.. honestly just doing that is such a huge step since now you have that mindset of 'if they could do it, why can't I?' And it motivates soo much and that's also personally how my drawings improved sooo rapidly, and it made me want to start drawing/ painting whenever i saw their works..also dont stress too much about wether your work will make a hit or not..what really matters is putting it out in the world and gathering a loving fandom for it..im sure whatever your storyline is it'll get alot of love and attention by people <3

In this dumb era of AI, trust me when I say, people will LOVE your story and your art!
I recommend trying to story board your comic and DONT draw it with detail until you’re satisfied with the whole layout. I also recommend making a social media account specifically for your story and really hype it up for the people!! Post updates, really build and interact with a community as you work. I believe in you!!

im an animator so personally i love that, but with every animation is a storyboard. If you're passionate about the story, make a quick storyboard like a comic just a bit more scratchy. figure out your dialogue, scene placement, timing.... and then animate the storyboard but you dont have to fully animate it. the idea is: get your story out in the world first, then advance....thats my take. i would LOVE absolutely LOVE to see a storyboard or animated of your story dude. but the thing that you need the most is: TIME. animation takes weeks, storyboards take days or hours...but stick with it. Rome wasn't built in a day.
