I know everyone has this fascination with the early 2000s and the 80s but what I mean when I wish I were born during this time is that like, I wish I had the raw experience of growing up. Back then there wasn't AI that could do everything for you, there wasn't any social media, and life wasn't so hard. I wish I could have experienced a life with no social media, a life where you had physical media and everything was unconventional. I wish I had gotten that experience to live unconventionally and to experience what it were like when everyone would go outside and ride their bikes and not stay home doom scrolling, generating brain rot, or just going online to post hate comments in people posts. Ykwim???

gd I know what you mean. I wish I could've seen the rapid development of technology and physical media before the iPhone came out. The switch from VHS to DVD, Cassettes to CD, CD to MP3.
Don't even get me started on wanting to attend some concerts and basement parties back then! I know in reality I probably would've just weirded out and left early feeling stupid though, lol.
God, game console releases and midnight releases must've been so awesome, too. It hardly exists anymore now.
Man, so much cool shit happened in the past. Ever since I was a kid I've known it. I would love to do my part in preserving everything from it that I can.
