Concert frustration

I really like going to shows but it's really rare for bands to be in my city, when I find out a band I really like is playing near me I often find out they're gonna be at a venue that's like 4 hours away from me and the few times a cool band plays near me my family always feels the need to not let me go at all and lecture me about how it's dangerous...

I've only been to like 3 shows which I loved going to and I really would like to attend to more shows but it just seems impossible for my family ti be mildly reasonable about it

I remember there was this one time I found out two bands I really like, "seguimos perdiendo" and "espécimen" we're going to play at a venue that was like half an hour away from me and I was really excited so I went to tell my family and all I got was "no, its too dangerous and that music is not appropriate"

It was really such a bummer...

I live out in the sticks. It's called a small town, but in reality is just a clusterfuck of some buildings. There is a community area with a wooden stage that will be used for performances on RARE occasions, but it's mostly only used for 4th of July performances and christmas caroling by the Elementary School.

The closest city to me is not too far, but considering what my vehicle is (1986 Ford Bronco with a THREE SPEED automatic, reaching 75-80 mph TOPS) and the distance (30-60 minutes depending on what part), I've never really been able to go to a concert EVER.

My parents are the same way as yours, too. If they hear one thing they don't like, it's basically over. My parents threw away my Deathconsciousness cassette tape from Have A Nice Life, so now I'm having to make a trip at some point up into the city for a CD copy.

Rant over. I could go on, but for the sake of this blopost I am deciding against it.
