Marvin Gayes album "I Want You"

So i decided to listen to this album again only i am a bit older now. I don't think i understood why older people listened to this album so much and why it was so praise other than for the obvious reason it "was good". But actually listening to it with fresh ear and like not just because i should and its a classic. Let me be clear i enjoyed the album before BUT! I fucking love this album and now i understand why all my aunts and uncle listen to this album while crying and drunk, dancing and laughing. This album made me realize i deserve better when it comes to relationships and choosing partners... This man wrote beautiful music about not only about his lover but his family as well .... The music shows the empathy i wished men had. Like the song "All The Way Around" Ugh its full of empathy and understanding, I can feel the patience in Gayes voice. He's not giving up on the woman he loves. Even when he's hurt by her, her running away from his love only made him wanna love her more not in the weird way i mean in a way when someone you care about deeply is becoming distant and wont tell you what it is that's wrong. Her avoidance attachment style did not make him cold or pushed her away it told him he needed to love her harder. I think that's beautiful i think the album is just so real and i am older now i feel i can digest what hes saying and it actually means something. Just overall a beautiful and well written album.
