Fma and DMC parallels pt. 2 because im insane

Someone on twitter asked me if I would make Vergil, Alphonse or Edward in a DMC&FMA AU so here was my response cuz i thought it was worth sharing my brain worms...

this is very difficult because vergil doesnt exactly fit the personalities of either. I do believe dante fits with Ed a lot more. 

However, Vergil as Alphonse does make some sense to me because they both share a bit of a existential dilemma. Now we know Alphonse struggles with being in a suit of armor, he cannot eat, he cannot feel, or physically grow up. And it affects his identity is he really a person or just a soul living in a vessel. Vergil is dmc3 is very hard to breakdown but what I believe is that he doesn't exactly know what he wants or more so, who he is. He accepts his demon identity more but that doesnt mean he doesnt struggle with imbalance. Hes pretty much having a bit of an identity crisis in dmc3. Now in relation to Alphonse they sort of share that struggle with their identity, it may not EXACLTY be the same but it's something to relate to. Nelo Angelo stripping vergils humanity may also be something to relate to because Alphonses armor also strips him of his human qualities. The only difference is that it was not out of malice LOL. Next, Alphonse has an extreme need to protect others, even strangers and need to check on the well being of others. Vergil shares that desire but as we all know, that desire is pretty clouded by trauma, destructive and doesn't exactly apply to strangers. The only time we see it "apply" to strangers is with Nico when V sort of seems to enjoy being around her. But he's not exactly protecting her just maybe caring for her in a way (bringing her devil parts, shows that hes thinking about her) 

Alphonse as Vergil might fit more post dmc5 but if they were to ever meet, i think theyd be good friends. NOW IN A PERFECT WORLD, i think id actually assign Vergil Greed/Greedling...

Yeah Vergil as Greed makes perfect sense to me, but maybe I'll talk about it more in another blog because I have a lot to say about that but i have to think...
