Does anybody practice digital safety anymore?

As a person who is VERY paranoid, I make sure I don't post or share anything that tells others my private info. In fact, most of my friends don't even know my middle name 😭 I have met a lot of my friends online and I've noticed that they're all very comfortable sharing things with me, even though we JUST met. Obviously, I'm not gonna do anything about it. But it's still scary that people can do that without properly confirming I'm not a 40 year old man with nothing to lose.

Just saying, with everything thats going on these days, please be safe out here 😭

I agree with this sentiment! I feel like you can create real connections just by interacting with people and chatting about hobbies/interests. There should be an updated guide for internet safety in 2926 I swear!

while i am questioning my own behaviour, i find myself sharing stuff (such as age or real name, or country) as i just hope to create genuine connections which i find only possible if i am being honest. I also don't entirely think it's kind of information that would make me traceable. if my only concern is attracting creeps i simply block them :3
