COLLEGE ADMISSION IN THE PH (Philippines)

Im not a college student yet. Its just that my ate (older sister) is about to be a first year college, and facing a huge problem in her college admission. We came from a financially unstable household. As my sister's upcoming college student, money is a huge problem that had taken a toll on her. She applied for scholarships and state universities that would offer free schlarship grants. However, she was unable to pass the top universities here. 

But one local state university accepted her, unfortunately, the interview schedule email was on her spam. thus, she was unable to read it. And guess whaat?? The scheduled date was early morning today, and she had just seen the email early this evening...

She came to me crying about it, and i was also disheartend for her.. But as a highschool student who knew less about college application/admission, i wasn't able to give her any advice.. The only thing i can do for her is to comfort her.

I can't even tell her that it's fine either because it isn't. Idk what to do....

I HOPE BY THE TIME I SEE THIS POST AGAIN, SHE'S ALREADY STUDYING IN HER DREAM UNI... SHE DESERVES SO MUCH. I KNEW HOW MUCH SHE WORKED FOR COLLEGE ADMISSION. :((
