So basically, when I was younger I used to go camping every summer with my dad’s side of the family, and honestly I had the best time there and blah blah.
ANYWAY, the point is that the other day I went to an Expotaku (for people who don’t know, it’s basically like a Comic Con but focused on anime stuff, plus kpop/jpop too). I was there with my friends, everything was going fine (more or less) until we split into two groups because one of my friends ran into some other friends of his — PEOPLE I DIDN’T KNOW.
After a while we all met up again, but now there were a bunch of extra people I didn’t know there too (by “a bunch” I mean like 3-4 more people). BUT the important part is this one girl. The second I saw her she felt weirdly familiar. Not like I actually knew her, but I swear it didn’t feel like it was the first time I’d seen her. I mean, the city I live in is small, everyone kinda knows everyone.
We started talking normally and at some point I told her she looked REALLY familiar but I had no clue why. And she said the exact same thing, that she also felt like she knew me from somewhere but couldn’t figure out from where.
So we started trying to figure out where the hell we knew each other from. School? Art classes? Mutual friends? Exes? NOTHING. We couldn’t find a single thing in common until I said something AS A JOKE because I thought it sounded funny:
“Watch us have met years ago at some random beach while we were kids and then never saw each other again.”
AND I LAUGHED because that would’ve been insane.
Then she asks me if I used to go to some campings in ------- (not saying where for privacy obviously), and I just stared at her and said yes.
Quick pause for context: I used to go to that camping almost every year because it was my favorite one. One of the years I went there (like 5-6 years ago) I ended up making a friend group because we all had Nerf guns. So we became friends and called ourselves “the patrol.” Everyone had nicknames: I was Black, there was a Shadow, an Once, “the Professor”... and some others I don’t even remember anymore.
The thing is, that group only existed for like a week because that’s how long we were all staying there. But one day this girl joined us. She never got a nickname or anything because the group didn’t really like her that much, especially the girl called Once. But honestly? I thought she was really cool.
The problem is that Once apparently said something to her (I don’t even remember what), and it upset her. The next day when we all met up again, she was just gone. Completely disappeared. And since I didn’t know which tent she was staying in, I never saw her again.
NOW BACK TO THE PRESENT.
She starts telling me that she also used to go to those campings all the time, and then suddenly she asks me if I used to be in a pretty big group with Nerf guns and nicknames and all that stuff I just talked about.
AND AT THIS POINT I WAS LOSING MY MIND.
Then she tells me SHE was that girl. The girl who only showed up for one day and who I never saw again after that.
LIKE WHAT WERE THE CHANCES OF MEETING HER AGAIN??? AND EVEN MORE INSANE, ACTUALLY RECOGNIZING HER???
Because one thing would’ve been running into each other again without realizing who we were. BUT WE BOTH REMEMBERED EACH OTHER after literally only seeing each other for ONE DAY six years ago. That is actually insane.
so yeah, I asked for her number and we kept talking, and we found out we like a lot of the same things and have super similar interests.
At this point I genuinely don’t believe in coincidences anymore. This feels way too cracy to just be random.
I don’t know what kind of destiny this is but im pretty sure this is not a coincidence
English is not my first lenguage so maybe this is a little bad, and there is another version of this but in spanish OK BYEE
