Project Hail Mary knit sweater

Okay I caved like crazy. The first time I even saw this sweater I knew I wanted it and that I wanted to make it. Now I did not pay almost 100 bucks for the "official" pattern and the yarn it comes with, but I did get the older pattern with the wolves.

I am so excited to get started, I just need to go over the wolves with the fox graphic and I am so ready to do this, I'm a more intermediate knitter I'd say, I've made a sweater before and a few color work things so I'm kinda of confident enough to pull this off. At first I didn't really know if the movie was worth the hype but it really truly was. I don't know how else to describe it but the movie itself felt like love, for Earth, for people, and for each other. Even in the toughest times in the movies and when the characters were going through a crisis it felt like it was love through and through.

I have to go and read the book now, especially with the amount that people are saying is in there that the writers and producers weren't able to fit into the book, which at about 2 1/2 hours is amazing. I am so excited about this movie in general, especially in the rise of ai that so many people are so appreciative and loving towards a movie that uses puppets and special effects to the fullest.

I love how people from different perspectives of how they appreciate this movie can come together, from people who love the acting/actors, special effects, science nerds, craft nerds, and space geeks. It has brought so many different people together to love something so completely. I am so excited to make a sweater that's inspired/taken from this movie.
