Guys, does anyone want to help me come up with a plan against the boy who stole my stuff?

In short, a boy from my class took my makeup bag and my pencil case from my backpack while I was distracted; both items were missing for an entire day, (because I thought I had left it at home) and when I told the teacher, that boy said he'd seen it and went down to get it. He came back with my things, but a lot of things were missing from my pencil case.

And how did I find out? First, I had already suspected him, but he only said he knew the whereabouts when the teacher told him (the whole class already knew, and I had warned everyone in the class group chat) Second, my friend went to borrow a black marker for him, and guess what? The marker was mine.

He stole practically my entire pencil case.

So I was hatching a plan to go through his things and get my stuff back, (and also his friends' things, because there's also the possibility that he gave them things) But the problem is that he takes his backpack to all the breaks. What do I do now?

I don't know if it will solve anything, I've already spoken to the coordinator and the professor

this sounds absolutely horrible!! personally, i wouldn't dig through his stuff, just because i wouldn't want to get in trouble for it. if i were you, id be honest about the situation with a teacher. this boy seems extremely immature, and sometimes those people only behave when they are told to by an authority figure. I hope you get everything figured out!

The teacher said there's nothing he can do, and the school coordinator said the same. However, he did say he has some things he doesn't use and could give them to me. (I really wanted to get my things back because some of them are expensive and I don't want to spend my money on something that wasn't even my fault. I thought about getting my things back because they're expensive, and I don't want to spend money again because of a clueless person. I also thought about this because if he came forward to talk about it, he would turn himself in.
