The different shapes of love

Hey guysss!

So there's this one issue or... i wouldn't say problem but anyhow it ain't good. So from as early as we can imagine we have been told to love our families yeah? And that's completely fine. Later on we are said to love our partners and then finally our children. All of these are correct HOWEVER in my opinion incomplete. 

Once my friend from school gifted me a little gift for christmas. I said something like "wow, thanks!". It was morning so I probably didn't seem so interested in it and my friend said "oh you hate it! no it's okay.." and so on. This was portrayed as a joke but i could still feel she was hurt so i said " no no no no, girl, I loove it! And i love you just as much!" She responded "whoa whoa whoa I'm not lesbian, chill"

Now I'm not lesbian either but that's besides the point. My point is CAN WE PLEASE normalize loving your friends too? I really truly believe that not all love is sexual or family love. As a matter of a fact I love many of my friends! It's just different from how I love my partner or my family. Love's definition is "an intense emotion of deep affection, attachment, and strong interpersonal attraction." I feel this towards all of my close friends, however that does not mean I would  want to be in a relationship with them.

I don't really have a good way to end this blog but, in conclusion, love whoever, whatever and whenever because just liking people may be holding you back. ˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚
