In oil painting its very common to use one palette for a very long time before cleaning it, especially in a high school where there is only a few good glass palettes available, and also this helps avoid wasting paint

When I started oil painting last year at school my teacher gave me a former students palette, still covered with the colors from her last piece. This student had been someone who I looked up to and held all the same roles I do now. 

I just left that palette back where I found it still covered with the colors and my assorted solvents from my last piece here for the next oil painter, I wonder who it will be :]
