it's so much easier for me — full time j*b vs freelance

So hello once again.

As mentioned previously, I am a photographer (with a diploma) and I kinda dipped my toes in videography as well. I did some tiktoks and I do wish to learn how to use Davinci in a more professional way.

Besides the photography part which brings on more gigs (so one time payment), I have a corporate office entry level job, which ain't the best, but at least it pays monthly. I am not saying I'm not greatful for it, since the company teaches you everything from zero.

This weekend I had a client, a guy with a construction firm or something like that — I didn't ask about it — that had me go to one of his meetings and film it like a podcast (plus some LinkedIn photos for him). If I add up all the hours just for being at the location it would be around 5. Now he just explained that he wants highlits of the convo for social media, which is fine.

Now tell me, why do I find editing 2 hours of raw footage SO MUCH easier than actually sending an email for the office job? I genuenly got sucked into the editing, I don't even know how much time passed — i was in a flow state. It's gonna take maybe up to 6 hours just to edit the video, but WHY is it easier than to work in an accounting program?????

so yeah this is my life lol

i think the client doesnt have the same POV as the artist? i kinda went thru a sorta similar situation but for digital art / flyers .
maybe the culture of art is to be modest ? i have no real idea

there's this strange blurry line between socializing and executing , i think ? it may be totally different . you tell me what you think, best regards
