So you don't technically NEED fabric paint if you like paint the clothes, let it FULLY dry stretch it (personally I put my hand in it and extend my fingers until it's stretched) and paint over the cracks, then let it dry and repeat
You like wanna SATURATE the fabric as much as possible
Even then when putting it in the wash you will probably have to touch it up just a little bit (at least the first time)
So like if you don't wanna buy fabric paint then, boom
Also embroidery is easyy! Hardest part is getting the thread on the needle :P (I suggest using scrap fabric and practicing using tuts for whatever you wanna do on your clothes)
Pop-tabs, sort through your recycling and save any poptabs! They are easy to paint and chain together sooo

Hey! Most well-made 'cheap' things would be found usually on websites such as Depop or Vinted-- although I myself personally prefer Depop, as it allows the seller to offer you discounts if you like their item. For DIY, you're mostly better off looking on Amazon for fabric paint and a stud kit (I don't know what style you're into or what you wish to wear). For fabric paint, usually i would use a small precision bottle applicator, which can be found on Amazon-- these are reusable, but if you aren't comfortable using those, you can use fabric pens-- the bottles are for smaller, thinner designs. You can also order stud kits for any sort of stud on Amazon that usually come with a puncher, awl, and screwdriver.

I'm pretty sure all of these can be found in local textile shops or arts & crafts shops.
