Hey, so I know, I know. Reading is not for everyone, and I get it. But if you want to get into reading, you should read the book of a movie you like.
This is some of the reasons as to why:
- If you want to know what your favorite characters are thinking in an intense scene, now you can!
- You get a looooot more details.
- If you like lore, you will love all that was skipped in the movie.
- Sometimes the book is more enjoyable than the movie.
- Some characters you think are bland actually have a personality.
- You can say "Erm, actually in the book...☝️🤓" and look like an intellectual.
- You just get more of everything.
FYI audiobooks aren't cheating; again, reading is not for everyone, and if you want to listen to someone while you read or just listen to it, it is fine. I just don't want you to lose out on the book and all it has to offer. Some examples are Project Hail Mary and the me burgers, or The Hunger Games being more traumatizing (i had to close the book multiple times to process it), or even Harry Potter and all the characters that lacked personality having one in the book.
Also, I know it's not always affordable to buy new books, so if you are not able to buy it, you can find it online (just be aware of the sckechy sites).
