FNAF is not FNAF anymore bruh //rant

I feel like this is common knowledge already but it's true. After the sixth game, I feel like it went downhill. The lore doesn't even make sense anymore. UCN doesn't really count cause it's just a game to "battle" the animatronics and doesn't really have that much lore (if you exclude the voice dialogues and old man consequences) plus it's just William in his own little hell if you think about it that way.

ANYWAY, after steel wool took over the franchise, it just doesn't correlate. But Scott isn't off the hook, he's a problem as well. He made lore for the first game- thinking it wouldn't blow up but it did. So he just started adding shit to keep it going. Wanna know how I know this? NO ONE KNOWS WHATS IN THE FNAF 4 BOX, not even himself!! He wanted to add smth to put the lore together but he kept it a mystery. 

Security breach was so random too cause wym freddy is helping us throughout the game lmao. Is he NOT the main antagonist in the franchise?? Plus the DLC that came afterwards (which I haven't fully watched a gameplay of so I got nothing to say on that topic, also with secret of the mimic). Like who tf is Edwin 😭😭

And the books are lowkey random, that's all I gotta say about that LMAO. Into the Pit was a good game imo cause it was book lore and I liked the visuals. I understand steel wool wanted to do smth different rather than do a repeat of "oh security guard tries to survive to 6am while avoiding dying from animatronic furries" but I think their execution was a bit off. It wasn't scary like the older games. Everything was so colorful and joyous that it took away the horror aspect (i think the daycare center part was the scariest outta the whole game, imo). Maybe I'm a little biased and stuck in the past but that's how I feel. Just please let the franchise die already, as much as I like FNAF and it was my entire childhood, let it die. The fandom will still keep it alive I'm sure of it but my goodness, you can't reheat nachos and expect it to taste the same.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot about the movies lmao! But I think they're kinda wack ngl (sigh as much as I love Josh Hutcherson...). I understand they're trying to make a storyline with the animatronics and such but they twist it so much that it's literally it's own lore. I'm not sure if this was Scott's intent but it sure as hell comes off as it. The second movie was worse than the first imo. Cause why is the Marionette the bad guy? I understand it's cause none of the adults listened to her when she was trying to warn them but even that storyline doesn't make any sense nor fits her character. And Abby becoming friends with the FNAF 1 gang got me sighing in the theater like I thought they were supposed to cause harm, not build a fort outta tables lmao. Okay, they're child souls and whatever but they feel vengeance. The drawing segment where the animatronics were "controlled" by the drawing was so stupid and anticlimactic. What was the purpose of adding that to the movie? In the second movie, where all the animatronics escape the pizzaria and go outside was so random bro. Like why was toy freddy wandering around a FNAF convesion and toy chica was at a science fair with Abby. PLEASE DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE ENDING. That shit was the corniest thing I've witnessed in theaters. Mike and Vanessa being siblings was also random. The lore is supposed to be seperate but why are you adding a past antagonist from the game into the movies? Does this mean Vanessa is actually Elizabeth? Since circus baby was in William's office. The lore doesn't match up since they're adding stuff from the games to the movie and I thought that's what they're trying to avoid. Anyway, I'm still gonna watch FNAF 3 in theaters when it comes out LMAO.
