I Hate Modern Tech

I'm so sad; all my friends on here were last online like a year ago (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

Although it's definitely understandable, with the notifications and fast paced style of the Internet and life right now, it's verv easy to forget a website like this. Especially since it's not as easy to instantly access like Instagram or YouTube.

I iust wish the Internet wasn't so commercialized anymore. I want to see people, not corporations. I miss when you could go on YouTube and it was basically your own website. I miss when software was genuinely helpful and not some kind of hidden adware or super invasive or a subscription model.

I ust want things to iust do the thing it's meant to do and just work. And I understand that some things need advertisements to be run, but not these super invasive ones. On YouTube, they'l give you a mid-roll ad with the same ad on the side. then once you skip it the ad will appear AGAIN in the corner. I thank God ad blockers exist for this exact reason.

And everything is trying to track you. Smart fridges, smart TV's, toasters, your BED! Everything is trying to collect data and sell my soul just for existing. Then there's Gen Al and I don't think I need to explain the myriad of issues with that

The Internet is so dvstopian now and it makes me so sad and angry. Thank God for those random indie sites carrying the little bit of soul left. That and sites like this one and Newgrounds.
