Posers of the Alt subculture

Can we just talk about the people that are the REAL posers calling others a poser? I've been in many subcultures of the Alt umbrella fashion and all of the people that call others posers are the real posers. I originally was part of the scemo community and was called a poser because "I was too big to wear the style" (I am a curvy busty short girl def have a big of muscle and fat) like huh!?

I don't usually dress like that anymore but I love the room decor with a mix of grungefairy hippie with some touches of punk and I get a lot of backlash for not holding a style. I dress fairy grunge or hippie subculture most of the time (it's what I'm most confident in and makes me happy) and people get upset because I will have a Pokemon or hello kitty key chain one person said it "threw off the aesthetic"  Don't go after people because of how they look or what they listen to we are all trying out new looks some just may have others they like. I hate how as a little girl I though I had to throw out other clothes I liked just because someone "more emo or scene than me" would call me a poser.

To all the Babyvamps, baby emo, baby scene, babybats, new punks don't target each other you all are doing great just don't lie about you or others you're only a poser if ur mean to others, lie about ur clothing, lie about hobbies and aren't accepting u might not be as "Alt" as u want but getting there.

Tru emo, punks, and goths know that it isn’t truly about what you wear, hut its your attitude and beliefs! So sorry you got judged like that, much like posers in the past, these new posers seem to have so much access to the aesthetic, that they dont know what it truly means. At least when i was deep in the punk phase, a lot of people’s outfits werent the curated pinterest boards and tiktoks you see today, a lot of people had to gradually find pieces that would fit their looks, which would often result in some pieces still not “fitting”, which didnt even matter! That was also part of it too.
