My One TS4 Crime

I'm not the type to starve my sims or lock them in toiletless rooms or build walls around their swimming pools. I don't even keep paint slaves in my basement. I like to make my sims live their fullest lives, each with a story of their own. And I've been doing that with my main household in my legacy challenge save. Beyond that, I've been controlling the lives of their friends and distant relatives. I hardly ever play these households (I'm too scared of losing control of my main one), so they don't exactly live out solid storylines, but I've got a list of "things that I'd like to happen" for most of them. I monitor their age progression and check neighborhood stories daily. When they enter a new life stage I go to CAS to give them makeovers, and assign them interests and sometimes even traits. I decorate their rooms and, when I have the time, build them houses. Another thing that I'd like to do is to assign them with friendships and romances. Thing is, I've been so obsessed with micromanaging these virtual people that it's kinda overwhelming me, especially due to how many of them there are. Sometimes I let my main household members have multiple children, and when these siblings move out they tend to have even more children. So I've been trying to shrink my family tree a little. Thing is, (for the sole sake of reducing my responsibilities) I've been engaging them in consanguineous marriages. The game doesn't recognize familial relationships beyond first cousins: second and third cousins can get married, and apparently a sim and the offspring of their 1st cousin can get romantically involved as well. In order to downsize the population of sims that are related to my legacy founder I've been making them do exactly that, even the first cousins once removed, provided that they're similar in age. I make my main sims go around the town to know their relatives, and from there they would just play matchmaker with the "become friends with..." and "hook up with..." interactions. Sometimes I get frustrated and just cheat so that the relationship bars between NPCs go to exactly where I want them.

I don't know, is this weird? Is it actually a sick thing to do? Sure, I could just make it so that these distant relatives don't get into relationships and never have kids, that would be way more efficient. But idk I don't exactly want that; I still want people in my next generation, whose lives I can make as dramatic I want without fearing consequences. I just want there to be slightly less of them. Also, I somehow don't like the idea of these people, whom I "know", going off to marry those random townies whom I have no idea about: sure I could give these spouses makeovers and build the couples nice new houses or redecorate their rooms, but if I did that I'd have to consider those people's families as well, and that's just another few dozen cans of worms.

Inbreeding it is I guess?? Some might say: "You can't just play out your incest fantasies in The Sims™ 4!" I mean, okay. But I just don't see how that could be a fantasy. Do people fantasize about that? Marrying your second cousin? Are there any incest enthusiasts who are exhilarated at the thought of kissing someone--who is technically family--that you meet maybe twice a year? TBH I feel like it doesn't have enough shock factor and unorthodoxy to be exciting, except for perhaps these plot twists where it turns out, that this couple who's been together all these years--are actually cousins! And even then they're first cousins. IDK this is something I muse about at times. My little family wreath that I'm weaving.

This is honestly just really funny, not bad. Ur not doing this cuz u have some gross incest fetish, but to shrink ur family tree, so its totally not bad.
