I hope Eurovision will be what it once was

A contest that was supposed to unite people by music (literally their slogan lol) keeps driving them more apart 

I hate what’s happening, I love Eurovision and I’m always excited about it.. but not this year - I lowkey forgot about it lol - Today is the first semi final and even though last year I felt like it took so long for Eurovision to finally start, now it felt like it was here so suddenly 

It’s sad that some countries are not participating and that a lot of people are boycotting/convincing others to boycott, because this should be a time we all come together and celebrate…  Don’t get me wrong I completely understand why people boycott and I’m not saying they shouldn’t do that, it’s just sad what Eurovision has come to (-_-) So I hope that one day we can go back to how it once was, but idk if that will be possible…

I’m not sure if I’ll watch it or not.. the first semi final has my country in it and I kinda wanna see it and support my own country ofc - but ig I could watch a video of the performance later cuz I’m sure it will be all over social media, so even if I boycott I guess I’ll not be able to escape it lol 

I’m surprised I haven’t really seen anyone talk about this on here - or maybe I missed it :p
