All Spanish-speaking fans of this white fox ask ourselves: why doesn’t Toby translate his games into Spanish? Well, here’s my theory:

It all began on a morning in 2001. Little (literally) 7-year-old Toby Fox had a dream: to travel to Latin America. His parents didn’t understand why he wanted to go to South America, but they couldn’t deny him his dream either.

For his 7th birthday, they took him to Mexico so he could fulfill his dream of visiting a third-world country. When they arrived, Toby immediately ran toward a taco stand, the food he had always dreamed about, the food that, in his innocent little American child mind, was the official food of Latin America.

Then, little Toby Fox, believing himself superior to Mexicans, said: “I want a taco with very much picante.”

Toby took one bite, and his taste buds cursed their existence in 1000 different languages. The fox blamed Spanish speakers for the suffering they had inflicted upon his precious tongue, and at that moment, he swore to never pay attention to Spanish speakers ever again. It was all the fault of their confusing and difficult language. Nobody explained to him that “picante” meant spicy.

And that’s how Toby Fox held a grudge against Spanish speakers (to this very day), He hates third-world countries, all because of a taco.
