Tony Hawk vs. Skate

Both Skate and Tony Hawk are amazing franchises, but people often ask which one is better overall, and to me it'd be Tony Hawk, since it's more of a game that's easier to just pick up and play and understand compared to Skate, since you don't need to pull of (somewhat) complex motions with the right stick and using the triggers for grabs, just press a button and a direction and boom, trick's done. Plus, the sense of humor these games have is great, especially when it came to both Underground games. Hell, THUG2 is essentially just a Jackass game featuring skateboarders which instantly makes me like it more. However, Skate is more of a realistic take on skating games (next to that old Thrasher game on PS1), so imo it's more satisfying to pull of a long and somewhat complex combo compared to Tony Hawk. But regardless of which one is better, they're both killer franchises with Tony Hawk's Proving Ground and Skate 2 being my favorite PS3 games.

Also, both game franchises have killer soundtracks.
