It's a fandom not a lifestyle

So many people in so many fandoms act like it's a lifestyle. As somebody that's a furry I know first hand that it's nothing more than a fandom. A lot of people out there act like being a furry is a lifestyle. For starters, it's not. Stop pretending that something that you're into is a lifestyle or a culture. The most that it is is you drawing, interacting, it's the equivalent of being in D&D but without the paperwork and books. 

Because of this a lot of people hate furries because you turn it into this cringy ass situation where people don't want to be a part of it. You act like you're better than everybody else with that fandom to start with, no matter what it is whether or not it's Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh or being a furry. You make other people uncomfortable with your fandoms. This is why people hate you or the fandom. 

I don't want to be that guy that says don't be in a fandom but some people need to calm down. You need to wear it with pride but you need to also learn when people feel uncomfortable because you make it so damn awkward and you're so pushy about your fandom. Stop shoving it down people's throats and people might might want to join.

Yeah I know I said fandoms and I'm using furries as an example that's because my fellow furries piss me off so much. Yes I still love my furries but y'all got to calm the fuck down.
