What are Partial Objects?

Psychoanalytical jargo in which desires are directed. Coined by Austrian psychoanalyst Melanie Klein, it is the part that fits into the assemblage of the human body. Deleuze particularly conceives the human body as a machine of different parts, an amalgam of organs with different connections and functions. "An organ machine is plugged into an energy-source machine: the one produces flow and the other interrupts."

Why?? Better than what??

• The neurotic will go on and on about their desires only for the analyst to reduce their worries to mere subconscious metaphors trapped within the patients mind.

• These desires have been mutilated and maimed by the oedipal triangle due to repressive representations (family, authority, agents of social repression like the analyst themselves)
• The schizo does not give a rats ass about familial structures, it simply forms new connections through the two split hemispheres.
• this implies that psychoanalysis cuts off the patient from making new mental connections that help it produce new machines and mechanisms.
