I believe theyre doing it because a spam issue ! People would make a mass amount of alt accounts and the pfp would be gore or something disgusting.
But its been almost a month of no pfps.... hopefully theyre gonna fix it.
Ooooh gotcha gotcha. I've been gone for the past few months so I came back to a lot of chaos lol.

This appears to be an ongoing issue for others as well. I read something about servers but I don't see any website news feeds which give updates about it.
I also see what you see for new users or people trying to change pfp's. Just default.
